Both are placed in the integrated pockets on the inside of the jacket or suit and lock together automatically together in the middle when zipping up your jacket.
With this system, you leave the protector inside the jacket if you take it off. And when you are riding it stays in place, instead of moving around.
Oh, and is the case with all our RISC protectors: they're highly ventilated and smell super nice (because they're odorized).
